Maryam Faisal and Nayma Sheikh in Scotland Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier Camp

Scotland Women's Cricket Team is currently in full swing preparing for the Women’s ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Qualifier with a dedicated training camp in Desert Springs, Spain. Among the sixteen players chosen for Scotland in this camp are Maryam Faisal and Nayma Sheikh from the West of Scotland Cricket Club Women’s team.

Maryam Faisal takes up a prominent batting role in the Scotland squad, providing firepower to the team’s line up. Nayma Sheikh, primarily focuses on her bowling skills, offering valuable support with her consistent performances.

As part of the training camp, Maryam and Nayma have the invaluable opportunity to refine their game under the guidance of the coaching staff. The camp's programme includes a series of training sessions and practice matches against Sunrisers Cricket. Sunrisers are one of eight regional teams in English domestic women's cricket, representing London and the East. These fixtures will provide essential match practice and allow the players to fine-tune their strategies ahead of the qualifier.

West of Scotland Cricket Club extends its support to Maryam Faisal and Nayma Sheikh as they continue to represent both club and country with dedication and skill. Their participation in the T20 World Cup Qualifier preparation camp is a testament to their hard work and determination, and the club eagerly anticipates their contributions on the international stage.
