Welcome West of Scotland Women to Hamilton Crescent

West of Scotland Women make their summer debut at Hamilton Crescent in 2019.

West Women are delighted to be competing in three different competitions, following a successful launch of the Women’s section late in the 2018 season.

The outdoor season starts with a friendly away to Galloway on 21st April. The Women’s Premier League campaign kicks off away to the joint team of Edinburgh South and Stewart Melville on Sunday 28th April.

Notably, West of Scotland will be the only Scottish team competing in the UK Wide Vitality T20. The team head to Hexham in Northumberland on Monday 6th May.

The third competition is the Women’s Scottish Cup, which starts 11th August. West of Scotland have been drawn against Dumfries and Galloway.

A large number of players having been invited to train with representative teams. The club is hopeful of a successful inaugural campaign following an intensive winter training programme.

Throughout the winter the ladies have been competing in an indoor tournament - The Wee Bash - and are currently occupying 1st and 2nd place going into the final round.

West of Scotland are keen for more female players to join the cricket family. We would love to hear from anyone interested, regardless of experience. There are several adult beginners alongside junior girls and Scottish internationals.
