Finals day preview!

Following a comprehensive win in Aberdeen, Nadia Tolliday will lead a strong squad to Perth for the Beyond Boundaries Women’s Scottish T20 Cup on Sunday. Nadia will be pleased to have a full squad at her disposal, including recent international call ups Watson, Sheikh, and in form Faisal, who averages 92 in the Premier League and scored 58 in the quarter final. The bowling lineup is also threatening, with Stanton and Mughis set to play an important role with the ball. Both took 4 wickets each in the previous round and have impressed throughout the season.

The team face Grange in their semi final, due to begin at 11am. The sides last met in the Cricket Scotland Women's Premier League fixture where West dominated. Grange chose to bat first and, despite an excellent 61 from opener Jack, they could only muster 95 all out from 22.2 overs. Wickets were spread around with wickets for Stanton, Norris, Sheikh and Sriram, along with a run out. In reply, Faisal dominated, smashing 53 not out from just 36 balls. Despite a few wickets at the other end, the chase was never really in question, and was completed in the 13th over for the loss of just 3 wickets. We’ll be hoping for a similar performance on Sunday!

If successful, they will then play either Watsonians or Stewart Melville in the final at 3pm. All games are taking place at Doo’cot Park.
