WOMENS CRICKET

NEWBIES TO CHAMPIONS

Starting as newcomers in 2018, we’ve grown into an established force in the Women’s Premier League, with several players representing regional and national sides. Our club also fields a team in the Challenger League, focused on developing new players and creating playing opportunities for everyone.

Our Women’s XI has achieved notable success, winning the Scottish Cup in 2023 and narrowly missing out on the league title. In 2024, we nearly repeated this success, reaching the Scottish Cup final once again.

We are more than just performance on the pitch and keen to involve as many women and girls into the sport. In 2024, we introduced Girl’s Dynamos, a program for 6-8-year-olds, coached by some of our Women’s XI players. We’ve also participated in the Wee Bash, an indoor softball competition, and would be enthusiastic about entering again in the future.

Our team is coached by Dave McNulty, a seasoned bowling all-rounder for the McCrea FS West of Scotland XI. Since the beginning, Dave has been instrumental in helping players develop their potential and advance their skills, fostering a supportive and challenging environment.

Women’s cricket in Scotland is rapidly expanding, with significant investment from Cricket Scotland. It’s an exciting time to get involved, so if you’re on the fence about joining, now is the perfect time to take the plunge!

MEET THE CAPTAINS

Our captains are leaders on and off the pitch, coordinating closely with coaches, the selection committee, and the board of directors to keep the team running smoothly.

  • Nadia returns as Captain for the 2025 season. They are a bowling all rounder who got reward for their hard work with multiple appearances for Scotland A in 2024.

  • Beth is also a bowler and also holds onto her Vice Captain role from 2024 for the upcoming season.

They joined the Club after moving to Glasgow for University, where she is now President of the University Club.
