SENIOR CRICKET

WE HAVE A TEAM FOR YOU

With four Senior XIs playing fixtures midweek and on weekends, we provide opportunities for everyone to play cricket, regardless of ability or skill level.

Read more below about each team and its role in the Club.

  • The McCrea FS West of Scotland XI is the pinnacle of senior cricket at West of Scotland.

The side has an illustrious history, winning honours at both national and regional level. In 2022, they won the McCulloch Cup in a thriller against Clydesdale and won the Rowan Cup, the oldest T20 tournament in the world, in 2024.

In 2025, the side will compete in WDCU Premiership 2 as well as the McCulloch Cup, Rowan Cup, and Cricket Scotland Scottish Cup.

  • The Partick XI serves as the Club’s 2nd XI.

Over the past decade, this team has been remarkably successful, winning silverware every year. In 2024, the Partick XI secured both the WDCU Championship 1 title and the Western Cup.

The team’s goal is to provide high-performance cricket for members, support the development of junior players, and act as a feeder for the McCrea FS West of Scotland XI.

  • The Hamilton Crescent XI was introduced in 2019 to ensure all members have the opportunity to play cricket.

The team's aim is to provide a competitive environment that facilitates the transition of junior players into senior cricket. With a mix of players of varying experiences and abilities, the Hamilton Crescent XI provides inclusivity and skill development for all.

  • The Sunday XI is our more social cricket team, competing in friendly matches every weekend.

We organise these friendlies at the appropriate level to ensure competitive fixtures.

This side focuses on developing players in a relaxed environment while still providing competitive opportunities for our members.
