John Oliver debuts for Scotland A

We are thrilled to announce that John Oliver, 1XI all-rounder, was selected to represent Scotland A for the first time this week. John's performance at the club level has caught the attention of national selectors, and following his academy performances against Antigua, he has been given the well-deserved opportunity to showcase his skills.

The three-day game against Gloucestershire 2XI at Rockhampton CC ended in a draw, but John demonstrated his potential. On the first day, he put on a 50 partnership for the 10th wicket in the first innings with Davidson and bowled well in both innings, with combined figures of 24-7-75-0. The full scorecard can be found here.

Club Coach Moneeb Iqbal was also at the game as coach, continuing his busy summer with the national squads.

We wish John the best of luck and look forward to seeing him in a Scotland shirt again in the future.
