2021 Fixtures Confirmed

Fixtures for the 2021 cricket season have now been confirmed and are available to view on the club calendar. Each team has an exciting season ahead of them with the first friendly matches on Sunday 2nd May. 

The 2nd XI will have a tough trip away at Meikleriggs while the Development XI start their season at Hamilton Crescent vs Glasgow Uni. 

Competitive cricket starts on Tuesday 18th May with the 2nd XI away at recent rivals Victoria in the Western Cup, followed by the McCrea FS 1st XI with a tough start in their new McCulloch Cup T20 group away at Uddingston on Wednesday 19th. A tough start to the competitive season for both sides! 

The full league season starts on Saturday 22 May with the McCrea FS 1st XI welcoming 2019 league runners up Prestwick to Hamilton Crescent. The XI follow that up with a Scottish Cup fixture away at Irvine the following day. 

All Saturday teams have a busy schedule across the summer with the league season running into September due to the late start.

Other notable fixtures include the McCrea FS1st XI vs Clydesdale at Titwood in the T20 knockout Rowan Cup on Thursday June 3, the 2nd XI at home vs Victoria in the T20 Knockout Greenwood Trophy on Thursday 24 June and the McCrea FS 1st XI at home vs Clydesdale on 28th August.

The West of Scotland Women’s XI also have a full league season of 6 matches currently scheduled on Sundays between the 23rd May and 4th July with a women’s T20 Scottish Cup fixture away vs Dumfries and Galloway on the 8th August.

We hope for a full and safe season but please note that spectators are not currently allowed at matches due to Covid-19 regulations, however the beer garden will be open to members and their guests. We look forward to your support on and off the pitch in the season ahead!
