Dougie McCrea nears end of 14th annual charity walk
Dougie McCrea is a long-term member and supporter of the club, in addition to his role as Director of the Club’s main sponsor, McCrea Financial Services. Each year, Dougie takes on a charity walk, raising money for the Emma Cameron Foundation and Glasgow Care Foundation, and this year sees him trek the entire 168km of the Kintyre Way. Over the past 14 walks, Dougie has raised over £250,000, what an effort!
Club treasurer Wilson joined Dougie for the first two stages of what was originally a 145km route, before it became apparent Dougie’s 10 year old guide book had an old finish line! Therefore, Dougie will return on Monday to do the extra 23km to the new finish.
