Weekend Cup Fever

The weekend of the 29th and 30th of June is a big one for McCrea FS West of Scotland.

Saturday see’s the 1st XI take on Stenhousemuir at Hamilton Crescent and looking to continue their run of victories which has been adjourned by the rain. The 2nd XI make the lengthy trip to Galloway for their Premier Three clash, while the Hamilton Crescent XI make the short trip south to Bellahousten Park to take on the Clydesdale Bee’s. We wish the sides luck in all 3 fixtures.

However, Sunday is where much of the interest this week is focussed with two massive cup fixtures as well as a development game against Milngavie.

The McCrea FS 1st XI will take on Prestwick in the rearranged McCulloch Cup Semi Final at Hamilton Crescent. West of Scotland are looking to retain the trophy after winning last year and are looking for a strong Semi Final performance. The winner will face Ferguslie at Miekleriggs on Sunday 13th August.

The Partick (2nd) XI are also in action taking on regular title rivals Titwood at Titwood in the Western Cup Final. The Partick XI are looking to continue a strong T20 run which has seen a number of trophies over the last few seasons.

We hope to see fans down for all games across the weekend, in particular Sunday’s Final and Semi Final’s to cheer on the sides and hopefully to continue a great season with some silverware.
