Quiz Night Raises £570 for the Club
On Saturday night, our winter social calendar kicked off in style with The Big Fat West Quiz of the Year. It was a fantastic evening, with around 70 members and guests competing fiercely across six rounds.
Cammy and Beth made their debut as Quiz Masters, impressing everyone with their creativity, including themed costumes for each round including a cowboy hat for one and a lab coat for another!

Midway through the quiz, with the leading teams tied, Chris stepped in to host a lively game of “Heads or Tails,” with a meal at Mr Singh’s India Restaurant up for grabs. Oliver emerged victorious and will soon enjoy a delicious dinner at their Elderslie Street venue—well done, Oliver! A huge thank you to the restaurant for generously donating the prize.

It was an incredibly close battle with two teams neck and neck throughout the evening. However, it was ‘DENSA’ who pipped ‘Maisie’s Korfball Team’ to the win and won £100! While the team were jubilent (see photo) with their wad of cash, they chose to donate it back in a incredibly generous gesture.

We also held a cash raffle with 50% of the income going to the winner. Club Treasurer Wilson selected the winner ticket with Sam’s name on it. Sam, in another act of kindness, donated the prize money back to the Club.
A heartfelt thank you to the DENSA team, Sam, and everyone who participated for your generosity and support. Together, we raised an incredible £570 for the Club - far exceeding expectations.
