Trevor Bayliss

The Club is delighted at the award of an OBE in the New Year’s Honours List to our former Professional and Coach, Trevor Bayliss. The award recognises Trevor’s achievement in coaching the England ODI team to World Cup glory this summer.

Trevor has been a hugely influential and successful coach throughout the cricketing world over many years and this award is much deserved. Trevor has always maintained close links with West since his successful stint here in 1989 and 1990, taking time out to visit us during his time coaching England to Ashes success, and most recently interrupting this year’s World Cup campaign to fly north to attend the funeral of an old West colleague.
