Club Statement

Please find below a club statement following the publication of the Plan4Sport Independent Review into Racism in Scottish Cricket:

"Following the publication of the Plan4Sport Independent Review into Racism in Scottish Cricket, the Board of West of Scotland CC fully acknowledges the findings and welcomes the recommendations. We are saddened by the evident extent of racism in our sport and reaffirm our condemnation of all forms of discrimination. West support the framework, outlined in the report, for eliminating racism from Scottish cricket and undertake to thoroughly examine our own structures and processes as part of these reforms. The Board is determined to ensure the club remains an inclusive space providing anyone wanting to play and enjoy cricket the opportunity to do so in a safe and welcoming environment. We will actively seek out the involvement of all members and the local community as well as other clubs, the Running out Racism campaign and work in conjunction with the action plan to be developed by Cricket Scotland to maintain and pursue this aim.

Members are welcome to approach the Board at any time to discuss any concerns and we look forward to being able to outline our improvement strategy in due course."
